but then i read joseph's site and now i have something to say.
so change is inevitable and time keeps marching forward and yada-yada-yada. thaaaat's great. really. but seriously, people: change involves everything, not just you. it's not like everyone else stays the same and you go through this marvelous change. so as you change, do everyone else a favor and look around to see who/what else is/has changing/ed with you.
no one is left behind, because time doesn't care; it takes everything with it. so even if you think you haven't changed, the environment in which you involve youself has. thus, whether you like it or not, times bring change and you are carried along.
what you can be, is an "informed changer", one who realizes the potential for change and knows that with one change, so another will follow. and that this cycle will incessantly repeat itself and that is what takes us from today to tomorrow.
but don't ever leave the periphery behind. the moment you neglect it is the moment you will lose it. and you will wish you never had, because sooner or later, you're going to get to the end of that tunnel and find the light and wonder, "what happened to everything else?" and you will have no clue. and no one, nothing will tell you, because you were the one who negected them first.
